Dr. Hannah Roberts will perform in a USA Piano Camp Faculty Recital on Tuesday, June 25 at 3:00 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. Concentrating on repertoire more recent than typical classical piano music, this year's Piano Camp will feature works written for the piano since 1940. Included on the recital will be works of Lera Auerbach, Florence Price, and Karen Tanaka.

Tickets for this Department of Music event will be sold at the door only. General admission is $5 for all attendees other than Piano Camp participants, cash or card accepted. (Participants are admitted free.) Musical Arts Concert Series passes will be honored for these concerts. About the performer
Dr. Hannah Roberts, NCTM, serves as Assistant Professor of Piano at the University of Alabama, where she teaches piano and piano pedagogy. As a competition prizewinner, her playing has earned her opportunities to perform throughout the United States and abroad at the Schlöss Esterhazy in Eisenstadt, Austria. In addition to performing, she maintains an active profile as a clinician, pedagogue, and researcher. Her current research focuses on the promoting the works of forgotten female composers, with particular emphasis on the music of Helen Hopekirk. She was named recipient of the2023 Edward T. Cone Fellowship from the Society for American Music for her research on Hopekirk, and her articles on female composers have been published in American Music Teacher, Piano Magazine, and MTNAe-Journal. She has also been invited to share her work nationally at the MTNA, CMS, NCKP, and GP3 conferences, as well as through video publications for the Frances Clark Center for Keyboard Pedagogy’s From the Artist Bench and Inspiring Artistry series. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University ofOklahoma.
